Dr. LaCap is a Board Certified Physiatrist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is Fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is also a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. After attaining his medical degree, Dr. LaCap attended his internship in Medicine at The Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing, NY. He then attended and graduated from the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program of Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He is Fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management at The Neurology Headache & Pain Relief Center in Linwood, NJ. Currently in private practice, he has attending privileges at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, NJ; Christ Hospital in Jersey City, NJ; and Manalapan Surgery Center in Manalapan, NJ. Dr. LaCap’s goal is to provide treatment plans that control pain and improve overall function and quality of life through a patient oriented approach with sensitivity and compassion. He understands the potentially devastating impact of pain on the patient’s quality of life. It is with this premise as well as careful evaluation of the patient’s history, physical examination and diagnostic studies that he provides the most effective individualized treatment plan. His focus is to utilize the most effective therapy in pain management to his patients. His background in Physiatry and Interventional Pain Management prepared him well for a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. His treatment of pain is premised on minimal use of narcotics and tranquilizers. He takes a behavioral approach to pain with a special emphasis on fitness and function. Dr. LaCap can also utilize Interventional Pain Management Techniques if a conservative approach is not adequate. Dr. LaCap is a dedicated Physician and believes strongly in continuing medical education in order to maintain the highest level of care. |

Dr. Failla graduated from Villanova University and received his Doctorate from Palmer College Chiropractic-West in San Jose, California. He has practiced for 20 years, over ten of those in Monmouth County. Dr. Failla’s background is diverse and includes volunteering with “The Flying Doctors,” administering care in Central America to less fortunate people. He also interned with the San Francisco 49er’s Chiropractor and completed 300 hours toward a diplomate in Chiropractic Rehabilitation. With this training, he understands work, traumatic, and sports injuries better and can help these patients get back on the road to optimum health quickly. Dr. Failla studied under multiple doctors who specialized in headache and TMJ disorders. He has developed a headache protocol at Breakthrough Wellness Center that greatly helps headache and migraine pain, when traditional treatments fail. “Even with decades of treating patients, when I relieve someone of chronic, debilitating pain and return them to a more normal life, the feeling I get is like when I did it for the first time. Nothing is more rewarding (with the exception of my children), than to help someone be rid of their pain that they otherwise thought they would have to live with.” Dr. Failla is also certified to perform MUA’s (Manipulations Under Anesthesia). Dr. Failla is an active member of the Freehold Chamber of Commerce and the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors. |

Xin Liu, PT, DPT obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2006. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Psychology from State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Dr. Liu has been practicing as a licensed Physical Therapist shortly after she graduated from Columbia University. She has experiences in a variety of clinical settings, which include hospitals, acute rehab, sub-acute rehab, pediatrics, out-patient, and multidisciplinary facilities. She is familiar with a wide variety of patient populations, which includes orthopaedics, post surgical, workmen’s comp, personal injuries, vestibular/balance, and neurologic. Her emphasis is on orthopaedics. She has taken a variety of continuing education courses, which includes treatment for the neck, back, shoulder, foot, and ankle.
Dr. Liu is passionate about helping people achieve a more independent, better quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones. |

Jangwon Yoon is a nationally licensed acupuncturist. He is recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) to have completed all the necessary requirements to practice in the state of New Jersey. Jangwon was educated in Chinese medicine at the Easter School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, New Jersey. Easter, as it is commonly known, is the only school in New Jersey to be recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). Jangwon graduated the three year master’s program at Eastern with honors. While attending Eastern, Jangwon learned and practiced several forms of acupuncture. These include Traditional Chinese Medicine, Kiiko style Japanese acupuncture, trigger point acupuncture, and Five Element acupuncture. In addition to learning the theories and practices of acupuncture, Jangwon also learned other techniques to treat many different disorders. It is common for Jangwon to not only use needles as treatment, but also cupping, moxibustion, tui na, and other techniques to aid in the healing process. Jangwon has used these techniques to treat a wide array of disorders. These include common conditions such as headaches, back pain, depression, stress, and sports injuries. Besides these common conditions, Jangwon has also treated rarer conditions such as fibromyalgia, infertility, and Bell’s palsy. It is Jangwon’s goal to help people who suffer from all kinds of ailments. Quality of life was an important factor in Jangwon’s decision to choose his career path in medicine. Knowing that having a negative health condition can have a great impact on one’s life, Jangwon is dedicated to doing all he can to improve the quality of life of everyone that comes to seek his help. |
